Stupid fed holiday, no mail today!
Delays suck! Patience isn't one of my strengths case you haven't noticed. Got 150 pieces of brass just waiting for a rifle to arrive, all size, trimmed to length, and sorted by weight. Powder suggestions? I've got some IMR4350, 4895, H4831, R19, Varget....

Barreled action arrived today. Appearance wise all looks great except for I'm pretty sure I specified that the bolt shroud be blued and it's not. I can live with it. Working on bedding.

Bedding
![]() Right Side ![]() Left Side ![]() Right Side Close Up ![]() Proud Future Owner ![]() Scope is a 3x9 Burris, no idea what the model is but it's got a funky dual focal plane retical that you can use for range finding. Bases and rings came with the rifle too so I'm not sure about mfg but the rings have fancy scroll engraving on the top caps. The bedding turned out nice at the front of the action but for the first time ever it didn't stick in the rest of the wood. I'm gonna shoot it as is and see how it does and if I encounter any consistency problems I'll give the bedding another try. Anybody got an idea why my Acraglass wouldn't stick? Started breakin/load development yesterday. Shooting 140grn Berger Match VLDs. Starting load 44.2grns of R22 (5% under Nosler listed max) used as spotters and sight in, moved up .5grns/5rnds to the max load of 46.5grns and then .2grns/5rnds from there on for a total of 50rnds with the highest load being .9grns over max. No loads were compressed, brass is Win average weight of 181grns and Fed LR primers. I only got the first 20 fired, but that got me up to the max load. The last 2 loads fired produced a couple of groups around 3/4" with fliers. I cleaned in between shots for the first 5 and then between 5rnd strings from there on. I noticed right off that my first shot from the oily bore did not go into the same group accounting for at least 1 flier per group and conditions were not ideal with gusty cross winds and I was shooting from the prone off of a bipod and would prefer to shoot from a bench. Group size is improving as loads increase or this could be accounted for by barrel breakin. Time will tell.

Got out to the range and shot the rest of the test loads. Much better conditions this go round, sunny and calm and shot from a propper bench. 46.7grns of R22 yielded a 3 round group that measures .381" and then I fouled it up with the last to rounds of the 5 shot string. Am still considering pillar bedding and a redo on the bedding with Devcon.
