Anyone who hunts elk, or wants to hunt elk should see this terrific video, shot in Yellowstone Park on the Madison River:

Hot damn, that old bull might have been beat up a bit, but it didn't take long for that slightly smaller bull to figure out he was still willing to go the distance. Didn't take long for that satalite bull to try and sweep in and steal a few cows either....hehe. Good video Guy, leave it to you to help get our minds right about hunting season!
Was talking to my son yesterday...he said he coulnd't wait for hunting season, I told him summer was "time" to prep for hunting season! Try out them new loads you've been thinking of.... do a little scouting.... break in them new boots... get a little rifle practice in! (always!) |

Very cool. Waiting on a new front sight for my muzzle loader, gotta play with it and get it dialed in. First year muzzle load hunting. That is sure some motivation!

Muzzle loading rifles are a hoot Aaron. Elk? Deer? Both? I've only taken mule deer with mine, a traditional .50 cal T-C, but dang it was fun. Those big ol' chunks of soft lead do a fine job of killing game.
Of course you're probably using some hot-rod super-sniper type muzzle loader! Guy |
